Pictured: The Smothered Badass and the Banana Nut Bread French Toast

Stepping Stone Cafe has become my favorite brunch in Portland, so I felt it would be appropriate to make it the inaugural post for my new Brunch Blog (the blog where I ramble about breakfast).

I was first introduced to this place back in January and have since become smitten with the diner-y decor and oversized portions. 

What makes this place truly special, though, is THE SMOTHERED BADASS OMELETTE. 

Chicken Fried Steak
Hashbrowns
Jalapeños
Cheese
Gravy

My friend and I have made an unofficial tradition of visiting Stepping Stone and splitting The Smothered Badass and one of their awesome sweet breakfast dishes. Then we roll out of the restaurant (because we are so full) and watch television for the rest of the day. #adulting
