I love... (Day 6)
In honor of Valentines day, I'm going to write a post a day about all of the things that I love. Check out Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, and Day 5!
I love handwritten notes.
When I was in high school, my best friend, Julia, and I would write tiny notes to each other daily. We would cover our notebook paper with our dramatic high school happenings, games, pictures, and witty jokes. Then we would fold it up into a tiny square package and pass it to each other in between class.
Our notes chronicle a jam-packed, practice-filled, hormonal three years of high school. Then I graduated and moved far away to a place where it would cost the down payment on my first home to send Julia a note every day.
And like so many things in life our note writing slowly trickled to a halt. While I miss the daily correspondence, I've kept every single one of her notes and even have some in my car that I'll read when I have nothing else to do.
I love handwritten notes because they are personal and raw. The mistakes are there for the world to see. The handwriting itself conveys emotion and feeling that Times New Roman lacks.
That just got kinda deep. How about some chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake bars?
Last Year:
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake Bars
These are INSANE. These bars are definitely high on the list of my favorite bar cookies. I'm a cheesecake lover and a cookie dough lover so these bars are a double-wammy of awesome.
